Hong Kong Second Group

Last Wednesday 3rd November, there is a group from Korean International School, Hong Kong arrived to Koposizon Homestay Kg. Papaga, Papar. They arrived around 9pm after their trip to Beaufort. There are 29 students, 3 teachers and 3 Dragonfly staffs. All of them looks so tired because of a long way journey from Beaufort. When they arrived, our homestay coordinator, Mr. William gives out his welcome speech. They all of them will be divided to their host family. In my house, there are four students (3 Korean and 1 Japanese) and two staffs (From Malaysian and New Zealand) staying. The students are Sola Lee, Shine, Jennifer and Shiori. While the two Dragonfly staff are Chieku and Chase. On their first night, the students are supposed to sleep early at 10pm but they instead still awake until almost 12 midnight.

The next morning, they have to wake up at 7am to prepare themselves before they take their breakfast at 8am. Around 8:45am, they went to the community hall to do the activities that have been prepared for them. When all of them had arrived, the Dragon fly staffs divided the students into two group and each group will be lead by the homestay host. All of the other students and staff were gathering at the community hall before they proceed to do the rubber tapping activities and going to the paddy field. After that, Before noon, they are doing the cooking demonstration such as making the sago pancake and "ambuyat". Beside that, they are also doing the roof making demonstration, sago grating demonstration and the highlighted part is eating the sago grubs. This sago grubs is well known for its high in protein. In the evening, Robert Homestay group ( Derek, Dylan, Robert, Sabhya, Enzo and one Korean guy)and my homestay group (Chase, Shiori, Jennifer, Sola, Chieku and me) we playing football at my field in front of my house. I'm with Derek's team playing. Our team loss but we did have several goals and I did scores 1 goal for my team. Then, that night we are having the farewell party at the community hall to our guest from Korean International School, HK. We had our dinner there before we proceed to cultural dances (Sazau Papar and Mogunatip). I did taught them the banboo dance. Everyone look enjoy and happy. Around 9:30pm ,we all are going back to our home. At home, all our guests and me were massaging Chieku and Chase because they looked so tired. There are two more students (Cindy and Irene) from Ethel Homestay who came to stay in our house. Meaning there are overall 8 pax in my home. But that night is enjoyable even though it was their only short trip, every moments was counted as it was so precious.

The next day, they woke up at 7am and getting ready to pack their bags before breakfast. That morning was their last day with us. After, we had our breakfast, we all walk to the community hall. As we arrived to the community hall, Jennifer was so angry because the bus that will take them to Manukan Island came early. They were so sad leaving to the next destination. Both Shiori and Jennifer cried when its time to leaved. This shows a good feedback from the guests that they loved the life in Koposizon Homestay.
